FOTD & YSL Reviews

Hello Everyone! I decided to do a FOTD since it has been a long time. I was heading to the mall before I went to work on Saturday and decided this would be a perfect time for a blog post and put everything together. I give props to all the ladies out there who does tutorials. It really does take a lot of time to blog.

So for today's look is a simple neutral brown look with YSL Rogue Volupte 1 Nude Beige. It was a perfect day to go shopping outdoors since it was warm and sunny after all the cold and wet days. The weather here is pretty crazy. Sometimes it's bright and sunny and the next day it is raining and then becomes a slushy snow storm. I think my body has been struck by the weather and stress lately. I think I am coming down with something. =(

But fear not, ladies! Here's is my brown neutral makeup tutorial. I try to keep it simple with brown and neutrals since they are a daily wearable look.
For the eyes. I highlighted the inner corners/brow bones with the lightest shade in the palette. The medium brown shade is applied over the lids and a little bit above the crease. I can't apply it all over since my eyes are monolids. The darkest shade of brown from the palette is applied on the outer corners of the eye and lower lash line.

As you can see I created a wing end affect to create a bigger eye effect. You can see how I followed really close to the inner corner then winged it out to the end where I meet the bottom eyeshadow. I used a liquid eyeliner for more precision.  I have trouble lining my eyes since one is bigger than the other. =(

Overall here's a close up of the winged liner. I think I'm getting better at it and wearing eye contacts make a big difference to get a dolly look.

I applied a highlighter and blush to my face. I outline the T-zone area for highlighting. I am currently in love with the 3 new products from YSL.
Touche D'or Pur Face Highlighter it come in a pen form with a felt tip brush that you can apply on your face and gives you a golden look. It can be used to highlight the face and the cheek bones.
"TOUCHE D'OR PUR
FACE HIGHLIGHTER
Touche D'or offers the shimmering "magic effects" of liquid gold, beautiful by day and seductive by night. This beautiful golden shade can be used to highlight the complexion and the neckline, on the cheekbones and decolletage."

I applied blush on the apples of my cheek. They give a really nice pop of dolly pink.
Touche Blush in 1 Rose . The packaging is really nice since it features a companion powder-puff applicator for the apples of your cheek. The powder is also contains ultra fine powder to create a natural glow just with a small touch.

A true beauty accessory, this unique makeup concept transforms blush application into a moment of pure pleasure. Ever the leader in innovation, YSL was the first to create this exceptional packaging, featuring a companion powder–puff that allows for the use of ultra-fine, iridescent powders to highlight cheeks with a luminous, natural glow. Chiffon-sheer Micronized Pigments ensure lasting, stay-true color that promise a touch of radiance to cheeks, chin and forehead, or wherever you want a subtle, natural-looking flush. For all skin types."

For the lips, I've been wanting a nude baby pink color. I've have heard a lot of craze about the YSL Rouge Volupte lines. So I thought I would give it a try. I am wearing the Rogue Volupte in 1 Nude Beige. And I am really satisfied on how the product description matches the actual product. I would definitely recommend this line to anyone although the price is a little high. However, you won't be disappointed by the quality. The casing is absolutely gorgeous and the lipstick is very creamy and long lasting. It goes on really smooth and silky which helps out a lot from the cold harsh weather. The color is very pigmented and looks very girly and dolly. I can't wait to get more from the spring look collection.  I want to try the 7 Lingerie Pink.

I hope everyone enjoyed my tutorial. I haven't thought of video tutorials since I am still very shy and not a pro at it. I will update soon, I just wanted to keep it simple and didn't care to apply false lashes. I am wearing Geo Angel lens in grey and they are my favorite pair right now. =) Btw..I have many flaws with my look, and it's very difficult to apply makeup having one eye bigger than the other and monolids. =(

I am really tired and getting really sick lately. I just want to lay in bed. I just want to say thanks for visiting my blog and reading. Please provide feedback on what you want to look for up next. ^_^

xoxo

I like the Lingerie Pink also and consider getting that one next. YSL products are moist and creamy which is good because it's a 2 in 1 deal for the price you pay. It took me forever to master the winged eyeliner technique, and I'm still learning. =)

Thanks for the comment. I would definitely recommend the YSL blush. The spongy applicator leaves you no mess to clean up after and goes on just the way you want it. It's like layering your face if you want it more pink. The dish is awesome and it's easy to make since most ingredients are fresh, but takes a lot of prep work. Are you still coping with your stress. You can always PMessage me.

Do hope you get better girl, I know being sick isn't fun at all :( If you're sick and can't really do a FOTD, you can always do a product review I guess? That is what I could look forward for. hehe
and thank you for the name of the dish! I love that so much, its just so delicious and healthy in a way. haha Thankx xoxo

YSL makes such dreamy lipsticks :) I really like the nude color! I used to own Lingerie Pink, but I found it was too frosty for me. The nude color seems more wearable! :)

I also love the winged eyeliner technique. I need to learn how to do this... it really makes a drastic difference. We have similar eyes!
